Here at Sparta Kennels, we specialize in keeping the East Germa tradition alive by breeding and socializing the highest quality East Line German Shepherd. We however have broadened our kennel to include imported Shepherds from European working bloodlines in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Holland, and Belgium. Our shepherds have proven their outstanding status in surrounding communities by moving on to become recognized to receive awards in areas such as:

Although our focus at Sparta Kennels continues to be that of a perfect balance of agility, intelligence and correct confirmation, we recognize that finding the proper home placement for each puppy is just as important. That is why temperament testing developed by our top handler helps assure that the right puppy is matched with the right home. This unique type of testing not only seperates Sparta Kennels from its competitors, but also provides us with the ability to determine if a puppy will best suit a family enviornment, a police department or the health industry without question of future abilities. Knowing what traits your puppy can provide is the key in proper placement.

Our son Zachary is the proud owner of Zita Falkekamm Von Spartan. Hand picked and named by Zachary when he was only 8, he knew Zita would be a special addition to our kennel. Now 2 years later Zachary, in the video link below, is shown teaching Zita numerous amounts of tricks - which Zita playfully obeys. Zachary is a very determined dog trainer here at Falkekamm and Zita is the perfect subject willing to learn! They both continue to amaze us with their impressive skills! Thank you Zach and Zita!

Weekly RoutinesMondays - Health Checks A good way to start out every week right is with a complete health check. Our checks for each puppy include a weigh in chart, growth chart, worming or shots when needed, claw clips, grooming, baths and whatever else a little puppy needs to grow healthy and strong! Tuesdays - Outdoor Kennel Play Although every puppy plays outside everyday, here at Sparta Kennels we have a separate space just for young puppies learning social skills. This space includes a dog igloo to climb in and out of, chew toys, climbing ramp, rope tugs, balls and some other hidden surprises for the curious little puppy mind - not to mention great for socializing. Puppies are rated on their play as a reference for future placements. Wednesdays - The Fast Dog Challenge! Every German Shepherd here at Sparta Kennels certainly gets their exercise! On Wednesdays all of our Shepherds run through a custom obstacle course with our Sparta handler. The Challenge? To run as fast as they can! After, treats and water is provided. Thursdays - Fitted for collars Growth happens! Whelping ribbons are cut and collars are fit - it happens so fast! Fridays - Dog Food Introductions Any puppies old enough will begin a dog food mash (in addition to nursing) on Fridays. This introduces little ones to a harder food which helps develop good digestion needed in the weeks to come. By 8 weeks, the pups are ready to eat! Saturday and Sunday - Weekend Warriors! All the dogs here at Sparta Kennels get their big chance to take a ride in one of our vehicles every Saturday and Sunday. This of course plays a huge roll for the socialization of the dogs, but mostly it's simply for the fun of it! | Future Breedings
